In CRN Tech’s Deep Dive into spyware detection and removal, the Barracuda Web Filter received a “Recommended” rating from the CRN Test Center. CRN magazine noted: “Despite being heavy on the features, (Barracuda) Web Filter 310 remains easy to use and fully customizable.” Regarding spyware removal capabilities, CRN stated, “Even better, the appliance detected spyware as it was phoning home … and prompted engineers to download and run the Barracuda Spyware Removal tool, an ActiveX control tool… the problem is resolved quickly.”
